BC reviews primary care
The B.C. Ministry of Health has launched an assessment of primary care to ensure that the provincial system is supporting community-based efforts and providing everyone in B.C. with timely access to primary health care.
The assessment will generate a final report this coming fall, which is expected to address the barriers that exist for health professionals and communities that want to establish Community Health Centres (CHCs). It will also establish data-driven processes for identifying priority communities for CHC expansion in 2026.
