Community Wellbeing Committee
The Community Wellbeing Committee assists the Board in developing strategies and activities, guided by evidence, to improve the health of the Gabriola community. The Committee has four primary responsibilities:

Making recommendations to the Board regarding disbursements from the Kitty Heller Fund or other potential funding sources for improving the health of the Gabriola community.

Participating in community meetings and events where community health needs are being discussed.

Promoting an understanding of the social determinants of health and working with the community, governmental and non-governmental organizations to address them. Social determinants of health are the non-medical factors that influence health outcomes. For more information on the social determinants of health see.

Collaborating with community partners in health planning and/or development.
