Gabriola's Health-Care Team and Premises
In addition, the Gabriola Medical Clinic welcomes specialists, such as psychiatrists and internists, adding to the dynamic offerings for patients in person and virtually. TeleHealth services are also available providing even more benefits to patients in our community.
The Clinic operates from the Gabriola Community Health Centre on Church Street, which is owned and managed by the Gabriola Health Care Foundation (GHCF). Other tenants include LifeLabs, Gabriola Dental, Island Health, and Claire MacDonald, RMT.
The physicians are members of the Remote Division of Family Practice (https://divisionsbc.ca/rural-and-remote) and are supported by a Chapter Coordinator on site.
Gabriola Medical Clinic
The doctors and staff aim to offer the best possible medical care to people on Gabriola Island. They believe the relationship between doctors, patients, and staff to be a partnership, working best when based on mutual trust and respect.

Gabriola Dental
Gabriola Dental Office, prioritizes the oral health to long-term patients by offering comprehensive hygiene appointments. Additionally, they are equipped to perform various restorative procedures on-site depending on the complexity of the treatment required. For more advanced cases, access to specialized equipment at our Nanaimo clinic may be necessary. New patients seeking to establish care with us are kindly advised that their initial appointment must be scheduled at our Nanaimo location. Claire MacDonald, RMT
Claire approaches her work as a therapist with a ‘whole person’ perspective. Claire has extensive training in the field of trauma, and practices Somatic Experiencing™, a body-oriented form of therapy. She trained as an end-of-life doula through Douglas College and offers therapeutic touch in both palliative and hospice settings.
